Some would say that, at the time, paying >$300 for a guitar worth $250-$300 on a good day would be a bad investment... But, this thing guitar had four things going for it. It was a nice RG, it was digital camo, it came with upgraded locking tuners, and it was upgraded with EMG 81/S/60 pickups. My rationale was I was paying for the pickups and getting an awesome guitar with it. Much like the RG350 I have, the Edge III is the worst part, but its fine the vast majority of the time.
