Comments: Finally, an Iceman. This was my favorite guitar that I didn’t have. Growing up as a System of a Down fan, I would stare endlessly at Daron Malakian’s hand painted Icemans and dream of the day I could own one. I was about to settle on an IC300, which is decent, but not AWESOME, when I found this gem. This was in very good condition, it’s a set neck, it’s a bound neck and body, it’s a freakin’ Iceman! It also has a 24.75” scale length instead of a traditional Ibanez/Strat 25.5”, so the strings feel a bit looser. I use this to my advantage, using 10-52 in Drop C, for a really open, almost sludgy kind of tone and feel. The stock pickups aren’t amazing, but they are pretty good. You’d be hard pressed to find one of these nowadays under $300, with my research showing around $400 street price.*

*2023 edit: HOLY CRAP Iceman prices are ridiculous. I see IC3/400s sell for $1000+ now. I’m never selling mine. I love it too much.
