2021 Chevy Bolt EV

 In what was essentially a moment of clarity, I realized that I had a long standing longing to jump into the future, and the future is electric cars. Anyone who wants the best of the best would get a Tesla, but they are decently expensive, and have their issues. In mid May 2021, I happened to jump onto my local Chevy dealerships website to look at used cars. I noticed the banner for their current stock of 2021 Chevy Bolts, Chevy’s only full EV, was advertising nearly $15k in rebates and incentives. I looked into it more and was intrigued. A full EV, with decent interior room, more range than the base model Tesla Model 3, and at a price $15k under MSRP? Well that sounds like a great idea! I went in and bought my first NEW car. I traded the Honda Civic for nearly the same price I bought it for 1.5 years before, since the price of used cars was skyrocketing at the time (and currently still is). Finally, I was back in a Chevy, the brand I grew up loving. Finally I was in a white car, Summit White being my favorite of them all. Finally I was in the future, with a full electric car. The cost in electricity is nearly ⅕ the cost in gasoline per month when I was driving two gas cars. I still drive the Miata every so often, but the cost of gas being gone is wonderful. I installed a Level 2 charger at home, so every day I wake up to a full tank, with ~250miles of range, more than enough for my daily drive for at least 15-18 days. There are numerous DC fast chargers around me and the driving itself is easy, comfortable, and fun.



2013 Mazda Miata Sport

I’ve always loved Miatas, but never took the initiative to buy one. Once I got to ride and drive in one, I knew I needed one. The Focus was boring, a Miata was not. In hindsight, this was a bit of an impulsive decision, but I have no regrets. The next day, I went out and bought a Miata. A 2013 NC Miata with 60k miles on it. Now, for the enthusiasts out there, yeah yeah, get your laughs and boat jokes out of the way, plus its an automatic (which was necessary at the time). I like the car and that is all that matters. I traded the Ford Focus for it. Currently has 65k miles on it, with various mods.


2007 Ford Focus SE - SOLD Jan. 2021

Bought in June 2020 from a good friend for $400 with 170k miles on it. It is kind of a beater, but I have done quiet a few things to it, and so far so good. 2016 Honda Civic LX - SOLD May 2021

Bought in Nov 2019 in a trade for the Camaro. Vehicle price was $12k with 34k miles on it. As of Dec 2020, I have 55k miles on it. This was my daily driver until I sold it in May 2021, replaced with a 2021 Chevy Bolt.


2016 Chevrolet Camaro RS V6 - SOLD Nov. 2019

Bought in May 2018 for $20k, with 15k miles. Sold in Nov 2019 with 45k miles


1992 Chevrolet C1500 W/T V6 - SOLD Aug. 2019

Bought in Feb 2018 for $500 with 280k miles on it. Rebuilt the engine and started working on some other things, then got my current job and didn’t have time anymore. Sold in Aug 2019 in a swap for tree service.
